Wild In Vegas/Wild-Lightning Trade

(Minnesota News Network/Las Vegas, NV) — The Minnesota Wild are on road ice tonight (Monday) when they face the Vegas Golden Knights for a 9 PM game.

The Wild snapped a two-game losing skid when they beat Winnipeg in overtime on Saturday night 4-3, improving to 23-10-and-6 on the year, sitting in third-place in the NHL Central Division.

The host Golden Knights are atop the Pacifiic Division at 17-8-and-11.

The Wild beat Vegas in the season’s first meeting in St. Paul last month 3-2 in overtime. Minnesota is 6-7-and-1 all-time in Vegas.

In other team news, the Wild traded for 27-year-old forward Boris Katchouk. He has mostly played in the minor leagues for Tampa Bay’s team in Syracuse this season, scoring four goals in 21 games. He will be assigned to AHL Iowa.

Minnesota sent 23-year-old forward Michael Milne to the Lightning.
