Wild lose 5-1 to Vegas

(St. Paul, MN) — Vegas star forward Jack Eichel put up his fifth career hat trick as the Golden Knights beat the Wild 5-1 last night in St. Paul. Marcus Johansson scored the only goal for Minnesota when he sent a shot past Knights goaltender Adin Hill to open the third period. That cut the lead to 2-1 but Eichel scored twice in the final five minutes to help seal the win and hand the Wild a second straight loss. The Golden Knights sweep the season series and have taken five straight from the Wild overall. Marc Andre Fluery made 33 saves in his first start since March 9th. Hill made 23 saves in the win for Vegas for their fourth straight victory. The Wild are off until Thursday when they host the Capitals at 6:30 P-M from Xcel Energy Center.
