Wild Lose, Get A Point

The Wild got a point out of the Devils despite suffering a 3-2 shootout loss on Monday night in New Jersey. The Wild scored twice in the third period to pull the game even at 2-2 and force overtime including Matt Boldy’s 100th career goal with 2:08 left in the game. Vinnie Hinostroza also scored in the third period as the Wild move to 41-28-8 on the season and their 88 points are now one more than the Blues with just seven games left to play in the regular season. This game had a playoff atmosphere, according to Wild Coach John Hynes.

Filip Gustavsson made 26 saves in the first 65 minutes of the game but was 0-for-2 in the shootout. The road trip continues on Wednesday against the Rangers and will conclude on Friday against the Islanders.
