Wild Lose in OT
(Minnesota News Network/St. Paul, MN) — Steven Stamkos scored his 17th career overtime goal in his 1200th game as the Predators sank the Wild 3-2 in OT in the final game before the holiday break.
Brock Faber and Joel Eriksson Ek each scored in regulation for Minnesota to at least get the Wild a point but that’s all they would muster as they finish off the three game homestand at .500 with a 1-1-1 record.
Filip Gustavsson suffered the loss on 26 saves and saw his five game win streak come to an end.
The Wild are still third place in the Central Division with 50 points in 38 games.
They’re off until Saturday when they start a two week road trip which begins in Winnipeg followed by stops in Vegas, San Jose, Los Angeles and Seattle.
