Wild opens season tonight

(St. Paul, MN/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Wild are ready to drop the puck on a new season starting tonight in St. Louis. Minnesota went 3-2-1 on the preseason schedule but tonight the action is for real. Tuesday the Wild released their opening night roster but already that’s been juggled with center Nico Sturm joining winger Mats Zuccarello on the injured list. Head coach John Hynes says Sturm will “be out a while.” Instead, rookie Hunter Haight is expected to make his N-H-L debut on the fourth line. Filip Gustavsson gets the start and the puck drops at 7 P-M.
