Wild pull away from Dallas late
(St. Paul, MN/Minnesota News Network) — Marcus Johansson scored the go ahead goal in the third period as the Wild beat the Stars 5-2 on Thursday night at Grand Casino Arena. The game was tied 2-2 after two periods before Johansson scored his 10th of the season 8:40 into the final frame. Johansson and Matt Boldy would add empty netters to seal the victory. Joel Eriksson Ek and Zach Bogosian also scored as the Wild beat the Stars in regulation for the first time since 2021. Filip Gustavsson got the win on 16 saves. Minnesota is now 8-0-2 in their last 10 games at home and are 10-2-1 in their last 13 overall. The loss stops the Stars four game win streak, 11 game point streak and 13 game road point streak. The homestand continues for the Wild on Saturday when they host the Senators at 1 P-M in St. Paul and Sunday against the Bruins at 5 P-M.
