Wild Slam Knights
(Minnesota News Network/Las Vegas, NV) — The Wild skated to a big lead and then cruised to a 5-2 win on Monday night over the Golden Knights.
Marcus Johansson scored on the first shot of the hockey game just :26 seconds in to give Minnesota the early lead.
Matt Boldy added his 25th of the season to up the lead to 2-0 after one.
The Wild then exploded with three more goals in the second as Jared Spurgeon, Brock Faber and Joel Eriksson Ek all got in on the scoring as well.
The Wild are a perfect 2-0-0 to open the seven game road trip which continues on Wednesday afternoon for a New Years Eve game against the Sharks in San Jose.
