Wild Snap Three Game Skid
Filip Gustavsson made 28 saves for his fourth shutout of the season as the Wild blanked the Bruins 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Xcel Energy Center. Freddy Gaudreau scored the only goal early in the second period and the Wild held on the rest of the way to stop a three game losing streak. Minnesota improves to 35-22-4 on the season and still sits in third place in the Central Division with 74 points. Sunday also marked the debut of Gustav Nyquist. He was accquired via trade on Saturday from Nashville. It’s his second stint with the Wild after playing for them at the end of the 2023 season and in the playoffs. In other news, the Wild announced defenseman Jonas Brodin is week to week with a lower body injury. He joins Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek as players unavailable. The team is on the road this week in Seattle on Tuesday and in Vancouver on Friday.
