Wild win another OT game 4-3, this time over the Canadiens
Kirill Kaprizov scored twice, including the game-winner on a power play 3:38 into overtime, as the Minnesota Wild defeated the Montreal Canadiens 4–3 on Monday night.
Minnesota earned the overtime advantage when Phillip Danault hooked Kaprizov in front of the net. Moments later, Kaprizov took a pass from Quinn Hughes and snapped a shot from the high slot past Jakub Dobes for his 32nd goal of the season.

Faber forced overtime by tying the game 3–3 at 7:05 of the third period, jumping on a loose puck down the right side and firing a quick shot with Hughes earning the assist.
Hughes also set up Kaprizov’s first goal of the night, tying Kaprizov’s team-record assist streak at nine games. Hughes extended his franchise-record point streak by a defenseman to nine games. Kaprizov previously recorded assists in nine straight contests during the 2022–23 season.

Dach gave the Canadiens their first lead just 12 seconds into the third period, tapping in a pass from Nick Suzuki.
Eriksson Ek opened the scoring 38 seconds into the game with a wrist shot from the right circle. Kaprizov made it 2–0 late in the first period by tipping in a feed from Hughes.
