Wild Win Fourth Straight

The Wild scored four straight goals on their way to a 6-4 win over the Blues on Tuesday night at Xcel Energy Center. Zach Bogosian and Jon Merrill gave Minnesota the 2-0 lead in the first 2:12 of the hockey game but the Blues responded with four straight of their own including three in the first 4:33 to open the second period. But after the Wild pulled Filip Gustavsson in favor of Marc Andre Fleury, the home team rattled off four straight goals from Joel Eriksson Ek, Jake Middleton, Matt Boldy and Marcus Johansson to cash in a fourth straight win. Mats Zuccarello, Ryan Hartman and Johansson each had two points in the win as the Wild saw another teammate fall to injury. Brock Faber left the game with an upper body injury after just six shifts and 4:34 of ice time. The Wild are already without leading scorer Kirill Kaprizov, captain Jared Spurgeon and grinder Jakub Lauko. Minnesota has won four straight and now host the Avalanche on Thursday at 7 P-M.
