Wild Win In Shoot Out
The Wild rallied from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Blackhawks 4-3 via the shootout on Tuesday night in St. Paul. The Hawks led 3-0 in the second period when Yakov Trenin stopped the bleeding with his fourth goal of the season in the second period. Joel Eriksson Ek opened the third period with his 13th of the season to cut the lead to one and then Jared Spurgeon tied the game with just over two minutes left in regulation. Kirill Kaprizov scored the only goal of the shootout and Jesper Wallstedt stopped all three shots he faced to lock down the victory. Wild head coach John Hynes recaps the comeback victory.
Minnesota improved to 2-0-1 on the homestand and are 17-0-1 in the last 18 against the Blackhawks including nine straight wins at Grand Casino Arena. The Wild finish the home stand on Thursday night at 7 P-M against Calgary. Catch all the action on AM 860/FM 97.3 KNUJ.
