Willmar Woman Suspected of Dropping Bag of Meth in Olivia

A Willmar woman is in the Renville County jail suspected of second degree possession of a controlled substance.

At just after 8 Wednesday morning, Olivia police were called to the Casey’s General Store after staff reported finding a baggie on the floor. The bag contained nearly 26 grams of a crystalline substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Authorities reviewed surveillance video and saw the customer unknowingly drop the baggie. She was identified as a 59-year-old Willmar woman and was arrested in Willmar a few hours later and was taken to the Renville County Jail pending formal charges.
