WINTER WEATHER AFFECTS BLOOD SUPPLY

Winter weather is partly to blame on a severe blood shortage.   You are encouraged to donate at an upcoming blood drive as all types are needed.  Over 500 blood drives have been cancelled since the first of the year.  Upcoming blood drives in the area include St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm Wednesday from 10 – 4, The Talents Event Center in Blue Earth and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cleveland Thursday from noon to 6 and Presbyterian Church in Amboy from 1:30 to 6:30. Donations will also be taken at  Chapel of the Christ at Luther Court in New Ulm Friday from 11 – 5.  When you give blood now through February 28, you will get a $20 e-gift card to a merchant of your choice.  Find out more at red cross blood dot org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.
