Wolves Advance To Round Two After Win In L-A

(Minnesota News Network- Los Angeles, CA) — The Minnesota Timberwolves punched their ticket to the N-B-A Western Conference semifinals with a 103-96 road win over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game Five last night. Rudy Gobert came up big with 27 points and 24 rebounds to lead Minnesota to the series-clinching victory. Julius Randle chipped in 23 points as the T-Wolves won the series 4-1. Luka Doncic paced the Lakers with 28 points in the team’s season-ending loss. The Lakers have now had a first round exit from the postseason in back-to-back seasons. The Wolves have won at least one series in back-to-back seasons for the first time in franchise history. Minnesota will play either the Warriors or Rockets in the second round. Game One: Timberwolves 117, Lakers 95 (final-Saturday, Minnesota leads 1-0)

Game Two: Lakers 94, Timberwolves 85 (final-Tuesday, series tied 1-1)

Game Three: Timberwolves 116, Lakers 104 (final-Friday, Minnesota leads 2-1)

Game Four: Timberwolves 116, Lakers 113 (final-Sunday, Minnesota leads 3-1)
