Wolves beat Suns at home

(Minneapolis, MN/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Timberwolves picked up a big win last night at Target Center, knocking off the Phoenix Suns 116-104. Julius Randle led the way with 32 points, and Bones Hyland added 22 off the bench, helping Minnesota overcome the continued absence of all-star Anthony Edwards. With the win, the Wolves improve to 42-27, holding sixth-place in the N-B-A’s Western Conference, while the Suns drop to 39-30, sitting in seventh. Devin Booker put up 34 points for Phoenix, but it wasn’t enough as Minnesota controlled the second half and pulled away late. Next up, the Timberwolves stay home tonight to host the Utah Jazz, who come in at 20-48. Tip off is set for 7 P-M at Target Center. Meanwhile, the Wolves announced that Edwards has knee inflammation and will be reevaluated in one- to two-weeks.
