Wolves Draft Another Center

The Minnesota Timberwolves added another teenage big man to their front court in the second round of the N-B-A Draft last night. The Wolves traded down a couple of times and took 18-year old Australian center Rocco Zikarsky (zuh-KAR-skee) at pick 45. Zikarsky is seven-foot-three, and he averaged four-point-six points per game in 18 appearances with Brisbane this past season. Wolves president of basketball operations Tim Connelly says they like Rocco Zikarsky.

Minnesota drafted 18-year old French player Joan Beringer (YO-on bee-RON-zjee) on Wednesday night in the first round. The Wolves will get to showcase their prospects at N-B-A Summer League next month.
