Wolves fall in Game 1 to Warriors

(Minneapolis, MN/Minnesota News Network) — The Golden State Warriors landed the first punch in the N-B-A Western Conference Semifinals. Golden State beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 99-88 in Game One at the Target Center in Minneapolis last night. Warriors star guard Steph Curry left the game in the second quarter with a hamstring injury, but Buddy Hield led the Warriors with 24 points. Minnesota struggled for a second consecutive game to shoot the ball from distance, starting the game 0-for-15 from three-point range. Anthony Edwards had 23 points and 4 rebounds, but did not score a field goal in the first half. Golden State has a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game Two is tomorrow in Minneapolis at 7:30 P-M.
