Wolves Fall To Grizzlies
The Minnesota Timberwolves gave up a big third-quarter run during a 116-110 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies at the Target Center last night. The Wolves led by nine in the middle of the frame before giving up a 21-5 Grizzlies run. Minnesota trailed throughout the fourth quarter. Wolves coach Chris Finch says they were ice cold in the second half against the Memphis defense.
Julius Randle scored 21 points in the losing effort. Rudy Gobert had 15 points and 16 rebounds, while Donte DiVincenzo had 19 points and 11 boards. Minnesota was without star player Anthony Edwards and point guard Mike Conley, Junior. The Wolves remain in sixth place in the Western Conference at 17-10. They host the Thunder tomorrow night. Memphis has now won two games in a row and four of its past five. The Grizzlies are 13-14 on the season. They were playing without several key players, including star Ja Morant.
