Wolves go down 24 in the 1st, can’t complete comeback
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Golden State Warriors held on for a 116-115 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center last night. The Warriors scored the game’s first 13 points and led 34-10 near the end of the first quarter. The Wolves climbed back into the game, eventually tying the contest at 110-110, but never could take the lead. Warriors’ star Stephen Curry led the way with 31 points, knocking down 7-of-12 shots from three-point range. Former Wolves player Andrew Wiggins finished with 24 points, five boards and a pair of steals. The Warriors snapped a two-game losing skid to improve to 20-20. Minnesota’s Donte DiVincenzo and Anthony Edwards tied with a team-high 28 points in the losing effort. The Wolves have lost two of three to sit at 21-19. Minnesota will visit the New York Knicks tomorrow night.
