Wolves Late Game Struggles Continue, Fall in OT to Kings

DeMar DeRozan poured in 33 points as the Sacramento Kings capitalized on another late-game meltdown by the Minnesota Timberwolves, rallying in the final minutes and pulling out a 117–112 overtime victory.

Just one night earlier in Phoenix, Minnesota squandered an eight-point lead in the final minute of a 114–113 loss. Against the Kings, the Timberwolves faltered again—this time letting a 10-point cushion slip away with three minutes remaining.

DeRozan tied the game at 101 with a pair of free throws in the closing seconds of regulation. Anthony Edwards missed a jumper on Minnesota’s final possession, and late attempts by DeRozan and Malik Monk also failed to fall, sending the game to overtime.

Sacramento ultimately secured its second straight win—coming off a 128–123 comeback victory over Denver on Saturday that snapped an eight-game skid. The Kings improved to 5–13.

DeRozan went a perfect 15-for-15 at the free-throw line. Keegan Murray added 26 points and 14 rebounds, while Monk contributed 22 points.

Edwards led Minnesota with 43 points. Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo scored 17 apiece, and Naz Reid chipped in 15 as the Timberwolves dropped to 10–7.
