Wolves lose to Dallas

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Dallas Mavericks earned a 120-114 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves an early season rematch of last year’s N-B-A Western Conference Finals at the Target Center. The Wolves had an eight-point after the first period, but Dallas outscored Minnesota 35-25 in the second quarter and 32-23 in the third quarter, eventually building a 13-point advantage. The Mavs then had to hold off a late Timberwolves rally. Kyrie Irving poured in 35 points in the victory, while Luka Doncic finished with 24. The 3-1 Mavs have won three of four. Anthony Edwards had 37 in the losing effort. The Timberwolves dropped to 2-2 and will host Denver on Friday night.
