Wolves open season with a win
(Portland, OR/Minnesota News Network) — Minnesota star guard Anthony Edwards went off for 41 points as the Timberwolves rallied to beat the Trail Blazers 118-114 in the season opener last night in Portland. Julius Randle added 19 points and Jaden McDaniels added 18 for Minnesota, which outscored the Blazers 30-19 in the fourth quarter. Jerami Grant dropped in 29 points off the bench to pace the Blazers. Deni Avdija (Denny AHV-dee-uh) donated 20 points in the setback. The 1-0 Wolves visit the Lakers tomorrow night at 9 P-M.
