Wolves open Training Camp today
(Minneapolis, MN/Minnesota News Network) — This year’s Minnesota Timberwolves met with reporters during their 2025 Media Day yesterday at Target Center. Star player Anthony Edwards says he has improved several skills this offseason including ball-handling. He says having no Team U-S-A duties this past summer gave him time to expand his game by working out with his trainer every day. Edwards and the Wolves open training camp today at team headquarters in downtown Minneapolis. They are bringing most of last year’s team that made it to the Western Conference Finals. Guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker signed with Atlanta in the offseason, and Luka Garza went to Boston. The Wolves drafted a couple of young international big men this summer. Minnesota will play its first preseason game of the year on Saturday in San Diego against the Denver Nuggets. The first home preseason game will be next Tuesday, October 7th, against the Indiana Pacers.
