Wolves season over, lose to OKC in Game 5
(Oklahoma City, OK/Minnesota News Network) — The season is over for the Minnesota Timberwolves, who lost Game Five of the N-B-A Western Conference Finals last night in Oklahoma City 124-94, sending the Thunder the Finals. O-K-C, got 34 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in winning the series 4-1. The Wolves trailed by 33 points at halftime after scoring only nine points in the first quarter. The lead grew to 37 points at one point of the third quarter. Minnesota’s Julius Randle led the way for his team with 24 points. Anthony Edwards had 19 points. The Thunder will face the winner of the Indiana-New York series in the championship series.
