Wolves sneak out win in Dallas
(Dallas, TX) — The Minnesota Timberwolves held on to beat a short-handed Dallas Mavericks team last night in Texas, 115-114. Jaden McDaniels poured in a career high 27 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds to help push Minnesota to the victory. Anthony Edwards added 21 points, while Mike Conley chipped in with 18. Dallas star guard Kyrie Irving missed a game-tying shot with five seconds left in regulation before McDaniels made one of his two ensuing free throw attempts ice it. Irving hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to get to the one-point final. The 23-21 Wolves snapped a two-game losing streak, while the Mavs dropped to the same season mark after losing for the fifth time in the past six games. Dallas did not have Luka Doncic in this game. Irving had 36 points in the losing effort, and P-J Washington put up 30. Minnesota will host Denver on Saturday afternoon.
