Woman Dead, Man in Custody in Wright County

A woman is dead and a man is in custody after authorities were called to a Cokato manufacturing facility early Tuesday morning.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a 911 call from Advanced Process Technologies regarding an adult female being found at her workstation with significant head trauma. Deputies along with Cokato Ambulance personnel attempted life saving measures, however the woman died at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The initial investigation indicated that the woman’s death was due to an assault by a coworker with a blunt force object.

The coworker, a 40-year-old man from Watkins, was taken into custody without incident, with a 2nd-Degree Murder charge pending.

The investigation continues.
