WOMAN HURT IN MEEKER COUNTY SHOOTING

A Willmar man was arrested after he allegedly admitting to shooting a woman near Grove City Thursday afternoon.  The sheriff’s office says the victim called and told authorities that she was bleeding and that she was hiding in the basement.  The suspect also called and admitted to the shooting.  The victim had superficial wounds and was treated at the scene.  The 21-year-old suspect, who was known to the victim, was arrested during a traffic stop in Grove City and is being held pending formal charges of attempted homicide and domestic assault.
