Woman Rescued from Sleepy Eye House Fire Dies in Hospital

(Learfield News/Sleepy Eye, MN) — Authorities say the woman rescued from a house fire in Sleepy Eye on May 8th did not survive.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office told police that 29-year-old Katie Rehbein died Tuesday night in the hospital.

Rehbein and her three-year-old son were hospitalized in critical condition.

Four other people in the home were sent to the hospital.

Investigators have ruled out foul play in the fire.
