Wright County Pursuit/Arrest

A driver was arrested after a pursuit in Wright County this morning (Friday).

The Sheriff’s Office says at about 9:30, deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 25 and School Blvd in Monticello. The driver fled and the pursuit began and then continued onto Interstate 94 east. The vehicle left the roadway east of Fallon Avenue and the driver fled on foot into the area of East Broadway and Meadow Oak Lane.

After a K9 unit and drones were deployed, the suspect, 40-year-old John Proper of Greenbush, was located and arrested for fleeing in a motor vehicle and on several outstanding warrants.
