Xcel Energy Proposes Rate Hikes of Nearly 10%

(Learfield News/Undated) — Minnesotans are asked to weigh in on Xcel Energy’s latest proposal, electricity rate hikes of nearly ten percent starting in 2025.

The two-year rate plan could increase the average residential bill by about nine dollars and eighty-nine cents next year, with another increase in 2026.

Public hearings began Monday in Stillwater, and comments are open through December 30th.

Xcel says the hikes will support clean energy projects and system upgrades.
