Yankees Take Series From Twins

A big fourth inning put the Yankees up and they held on for a 10-5 victory. New York put five on the board in the top half of the fourth, including a three run homer by Trent Grisham, to put the visitors up 7-2. The Twins would get three back in the bottom of the fifth but that’s as close as they would get as the Yanks hand on for the win and take two of three in the series. Grisham ended up with two homers on the night and four R-B-I. Taj Bradley suffers the loss for Minnesota, manager Rocco Baldelli on the outing for starter Taj Bradley.

The Twins fall 20 games below .500 at 66-86. They’re off today before opening the final homestand of the season on Friday against Cleveland.
