Yellow Medicine House Fire

A house in Yellow Medicine County was destroyed by fire Saturday afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Office says at just before 1pm, they received the call of a house fire in Clarkfield.

On arrival, personnel found the residence fully engulfed in flames.

Authorities say the residence was occupied at the time by several adults but all the occupants and some animals got out safely with no injuries.

The house is a total loss and the cause is under investigation.
