YOUTH DEER HUNT PERMITS AVAILABLE

The DNR is once again offering the opportunity for young people to get outside and experience deer hunting ahead of the regular youth hunt this season.   The application-only hunt offers more individualized experiences in unique places.   DNR officials say these special youth deer hunts help state parks manage their deer populations and also create positive experiences.  Youth ages 12 to 15 at the time of the hunt are eligible and must be accompanied by an adult.  Hunters can apply for a limited number of permits through Friday, August 15.  Special youth deer hunts are different from the youth deer season which is October 16  – 19 and does not require an applications.  Find out more on the DNR’s website.
